Energy Yield Manager for wind and solar
We are looking for a person to join our Asset Management Team on a permanent contract, who is responsible for the energy yield assessments for Taaleri Energia’s wind and solar assets. The person will participate to the whole lifecycle of the projects from the initial development phase to the post construction yield analysis done in connection with divestment of the operational plant.
We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic individual who shares Taaleri’s values and is eager to contribute to our high-performing team. The position will be based in our office in Finland (Helsinki, Oulu, Tampere), Budapest or Madrid.
Your responsibilities:
- Provide views on the wind and solar resource and expected yield based on the available information at the time
- Plan, coordinate and ensure the quality of the wind and solar measurement campaigns
- Contract, coordinate, ensure quality and provide views of third-party Energy Yield Assessments for the investment decisions
- Contract, coordinate, ensure quality and provide views of Post Construction Yield Assessments for the refinancing and exit processes
- Optimize wind and solar park layouts, and assess the site suitability
- Participate to contract negotiations and provide views on the site assessment and power curves
- Provide expertise and monitor the performance of the operational assets and find the root causes of deviations to the expected yield, together with identifying possible ways to optimize the performance of the operational assets
- Review and maintain documentation that fulfil the best industry practices
What we expect from you to have:
- Applicable Master’s degree supporting the role
- Understanding of the pre-construction EYA and post construction EYA analysis methodologies
- Several years of experience from wind and/or solar energy yield assessments that support the role, e.g., from consultancy, research or turbine OEM site suitability assessments
- Understanding of wind turbine / solar technology, SCADA data, and performance analysis
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards is seen as a benefit
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills
- Fluency in English
