ESG Analyst and ESG Controller

We are looking for an ESG Analyst for a permanent employment and an ESG Controller for long-term (approx. 15 months) temporary employment at our HQ in Helsinki.
Role Overview and Main Responsibilities:
In these roles, you will have the opportunity to shape our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) data management and reporting processes and practices. As ESG Analyst, you will be part of Taaleri Energia team and as ESG Controller, you will be part of Group Finance team. Further, collaboration with other internal and external partners is an essential aspect of both roles.
These roles allow you to participate in sustainability, finance, business development, compliance and communication functions widely according to your interests and our needs alongside your main responsibilities. Depending on the role, the point of view is either that of a listed company (Taaleri Plc) or a renewable energy fund manager (Taaleri Energia).
You will contribute to the development, documentation or execution of ESG processes related to:
- Data collection, consolidation and assurance
- Reporting and communication
- Risk, opportunity & impact analysis and due diligence
- Target setting and monitoring
These processes aim to ensure alignment with relevant frameworks and improve efficiency, traceability, reliability, sustainability, and data-driven management, and are critical to meet the expectations of both our external and internal stakeholders.
What we expect from you:
- Genuine interest towards ESG, sustainable finance, green transition and sustainable development
- Knowledge and some concrete experience in sustainability and reporting frameworks such as European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), EU taxonomy for sustainable activities (Taxonomy), UN Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), Net Zero Asset Managers (NZAM) or EU Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR). For the ESG Analyst position, concrete experience is a benefit but not a requirement if you have sufficient other work experience.
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Sustainability, Accounting, Business Administration, Technology or related fields
- Dynamic and proactive approach
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Proficiency in English and preferably also in Finnish
- Previous experience in financial industry and/or some of our focus industries, incl. renewable energy, bioindustry, real estate and insurance, will be an asset depending on the role
- Relevant work experience for example as a controller, analyst, consultant or auditor, will be an asset depending on the role
